Engagement with Stakeholders
Procurement and Capital Works’ consultation mechanisms include engagement with industry groups, such as roundtable meetings with the Master Builders Association and Consult Australia (refer to the Events Calendar above), industry events, and business and industry forums hosted by Procurement and Capital Works.
The Memorandum of Understanding on Procurement of Works and Services by the ACT Government with UnionsACT is another mechanism of stakeholder engagement.
The current Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the Chief Minister on 26 March 2015 and is an update to the original memorandum established in 2005. The memorandum makes provision for UnionsACT to provide the ACT Government with information relevant to industrial relations or workplace health and safety issues as part of prequalification and tender evaluation processes.
Public Private Partnerships
On 29 November 2008, the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) endorsed guidelines for Public Private Partnerships (PPPs). The guidelines require a PPP to be considered for all public infrastructure projects where the total capital value exceeds $50 million. The National Public Private Partnership Policy and Guidelines are available from the Infrastructure Australia website at Infrastructure Australia
The Territory has also developed its own guidance material for PPPs, which is available from the Treasury website, here. Updated February 2016
|ACT Government Funding Managers' Guide |
A Funding Managers' Guide has been developed by the Funding Managers Network to help ACT Government and community sector employees understand the processes involved in managing government funded community services. Understanding the funding management process will promote effective partnerships between government and community organisations, and is important to ensure optimal outcomes for service users. Updated September 2011
Suppliers to Government
Please be advised that, from 1 July 2015, the ACT Government will be publishing relevant information about invoices it has paid for goods, services or works it has received. Invoices with a value of $25,000 or more will be known as Notifiable Invoices and information about the invoices will be published on the Notifiable Invoices Register. This Register will be located on the procurement website and updated monthly. information on Notifiable Invoices is available from ACT Government Notifiable Invoice Register
Goods and Services Forecast
To better advise industry, future ACT Government procurement opportunities will be advertised by the Territory prior to release.
For Goods and Services opportunities, Tenders ACT will publish the opportunities under the Advanced Tender Notice (ATN) classification allowing users to search for future opportunities and to set up personalised notification profiles to alert users to advertised opportunities.
Tenders ACT has developed an instructional guide on how to search for future opportunities and set up notification profiles, available here.
